Au Revoir to Darkly Darkly, a 2006 black filly bred by CHHR, was sold in June to Marlene DeShayes of France. Her agent who handled the sale and shipment to France is Simon Manceau. Simon recently finished an 18 month apprenticeship under US trainer Jim Dudley. Upon his returned to France, Simon decided to be on the leading edge of importing western pleasure horses into France. Darkly is one of his first imports. Photo is right before Darkly was loaded on the trailer to leave CHHR on her "grand adventure." Here's Darkly in France with her new owner, Marlene. TJ hugs Darkly goodbye before loading her onto the trailer to leave CHHR. Darkly will be in 30 day quarantine at NedPoint Quarter Horses in Oklahoma before being flown out of Houston Intercontinental Airport for Paris. Her new home will actually be near Le Mans, France. "It feels so good to be home!" This is Darkly in her pasture in France.
